Generally speaking, interrogatories go back and forth between the parties without the court's involvement. However, that changes with the motion to compel because the court must now get involved and the interrogatories (and responses) are likely attached to the motion to compel. Inasmuch as objections to interrogatories were filed, I'm guessing that one side gave BS responses (or objections) to the interrogatories.

CT law may be different on this issue.

1) A motion to dismiss was filed. It isn't clear whether or not a decision was reached on the motion, but logic suggests that either (a) no decision was reached yet or (b) the motion to dismiss was denied because if the motion to dismiss was granted, the case would be closed.

2) Discovery is ongoing: interrogatories, motions for protective orders, objections to interrogatories, motion to compel, etc. Discovery may be worthwhile once deposition notices are filed.
