@UkraineNotWeak: That's how my dad likes his steaks. I'm not sure if that's what I'd call this method, but I do get a fantastic medium steak out of it. I think "Pittsburgh style" is burnt on the outside but red on the inside, which is a little more difficult no matter where you're cooking it.

@Hank Scorpio: The best way to cook a steak at home is in a cast-iron skillet. Turn your oven up as high as it will go and put your skillet in there. Let it heat up. After 10-15 minutes, take the skillet out and put it on a burner on high heat. (Leave the oven on.) Season the steak with some salt and pepper and a little canola oil. Then sear it for 4-5 minutes a side on the stovetop, then put the skillet back in the oven for another 4-5 minutes (depending on how done you want it). Take the steak out of the oven and put it on a plate for 5 minutes or so to let the juices sink back in. Then eat it. It will be the juiciest steak you've ever had.

Granted, I make mine this way because I live in a NYC apartment with no grill, but it's been delicious every time.

But yeah a free steak dinner and getting to see Butler win the HL tourney for the first time in 7 years was a pretty good night.

@Lady Andrea: I just made my specialty low-cal sandwich. Toss a pile of ultra lean roast beef in the frying pan, then put a little low-fat chedder on top, let it sit a minute. Smear a little horseradish sauce on a slice of light bread, put it on top of the meat and cheese. Flip it over so the meat is on top and the bread is on the pan and let it sit for a minute until the bread is nice and toasted.

Slide it off and serve with a pickle. Total of 180 calories.
