still, doesn't change the fact that the sox are no different than the yankees.....buy their teams

well, in 04, they only had 1 homegrown players and won the WS (bet u can't name him)...yankees, at least always had at least 5 (posada, bernie, jeter, rivera, pettitte)...so that would make the sox responsible for buying their team, well, more than ANY WS team ever.

He was always good enough to stay, but he had to wait for Millar to go. He never bitched (well, at least not loudly), played hard when he got the chance, and waited for his turn. It was kind of a nice break from all the prima donnas.

@Johnny LaRue: For me, Manny's production gives him the clout to pose - although I admit to being fickle on that subject because there ARE some times when I cringe as he does it. Other times, I love it. Youk? I love the way he plays, but I find him to be a tremendous crybaby and I absolutely HATE that in a player.

Aside from that, in Boston it seems like he's trying to fill the void Nomar left when it comes to charitable works in the area - especially with kids, and for that I have to admit to liking him at least a little.
