Just so you know Dan Rooney's point of view:

Should we be surprised that Rooney reacted the way he did?

I'm not excusing him...I don't share his convictions...but his reaction to Harrison's dilemma is consistent with his strong Catholic convictions. A failure to baptize a child, in his eyes, is a grevious sin--- a sin which apparently outweighs the act of spousal abuse.

Both are shockingly bad examples of uncontrolled behavior, but one is clearly worse than the other. The one where the guy drives to the Mexican restaurant where his baby momma was drinking and chatting up the bartender, walked up to her, decked her and left is probably a premeditated fucking-up, while the other one (while still terrible) is more your garden variety infant tug of war.

nothing says "the Christian way to do things" like slapping your baby's momma because you want him baptized. So, Christian enough to get the kid baptized, but not Christian enough to marry the kids mother. Am I missing something here?
