Hell, we had one landlord using his place for commercial storage and accepting checks knowing his tenant wasn't living there. We get it from all sides.

@PQ Crash: My favorite bar won't be able to handle all my friends for that night, it's become very popular. We have to wait outside to get in on weekend nights sometimes as it is. Worth it to us for the 25-ish taps with none wasted on any of the generic big brews plus hundreds of other bottles, especially since when we run a tab it always seems to come out to the same price a large portion of the time, even though I know for a fact it should be costing us a lot more.

Last time it was 9 beers and 2 shots (that they just poured us to do with them), and the bill said $30. And this was with a Belgian, an imperial stout, etc. It's good to be considered a regular, my wife and I always sit at the bar and talk with the bartenders a bunch.

@StevePerryPsychOut: Oh no. The real deal, the Chicago Brauhaus up in Lincoln Square. The place has a bunch of old people dancing to the band until about 9pm. Then the band switches to lots of drinking songs and other fun stuff. Super fun. And they serve beers besides Hofbrau, which is nice.

Uberstein (the Hofbrau place on Clark) is like a Wrigley-fied German place. And they don't have Austrian Larry Bird.

@Fawn Liebowitz: it was saturday! i made the first cut but not the second. the first round wasn't too hard, but the second round had a TRIPLE jump-out (turn) in the routine, which isn't quite so easy since I haven't been in a studio in almost a year. most of the girls were in hot pants and crazy flourescent bikini tops. i was definitely in the least skanky of the 270+ girls that tried out. Also one of the least tanned/highlighted/fakeboobed. It was so much fun, but you could tell in the first round the girls that were going to make it. Some of them were just flat out GOOD. i think i'm too practical for that much hairflipping...

Or if you don't want to be accused of being a frontrunner, you can try the White Sox, as a fair chunk of their lineup is 30+ and they employ a "36 year old" starting pitcher of unknown real age.
