One of the rumours that I've heard in passing is that Isiah's decimation of the team is actually part of a greater scheme of Dolan's. The theory is based on the assumption that the Dolan's made a killing on their IPO, but now they want to re-privatize so they're devaluaing all of the public shares by doing nothing to help the Knicks win.

I'm sure that their is some creedence to these claims, but does anybody have a more solid lead?
