It might not โ€” yet โ€” have the online fanaticism and cachet as baseball, but the NFL and its fans are starting to catch up in the world of team-devoted blogs. To this end, Deadspin salutes these modem-addled souls and proudly presents Blogdom's Best, given to the most outstanding blog for each NFL team. There are fewer than there are for baseball, but they're out there, if you look. If you would like to nominate a blog (yours even) for selection, just let us know at tips@deadspin.com. Today: The Seattle Seahwawks.

In the Seattle area, home of Bill Gates and the sprawling Microsoft campus, every resident is required to have a blog. No really, it's the law. So one would think that Seahawks' blogs would be as plentiful as umbrellas, or Starbucks outlets, with every table at the Cafe Nervosa occupied by football fans pecking away at their laptops about Shaun Alexander and Kelly Herndon. Not so, apparently. While Pacific Northwesterners do love their Seahawks, football has never really been an obsession there, like, say, in Green Bay or Chicago. Mike Holmgren, in other words, can lunch at Cutter's Bay House without being mobbed ... or even noticed, sometimes.

That's not to say that a small, brave group of Seahawks bloggers are not fighting the good fight, however.

3. Seattle Seahawks Historical Archive. If someone drops a box of toothpicks on the floor and you're the type who instantly knows how many there are, this site is for you. But we found it interesting too, and we're not all that much into stats. Obviously a labor of love.

2. Seattle Seahawks Fans Anonymous. Another great site, consistently updated and not afraid to take off the rose-colored glasses when looking at the home team. As far as devotion, well, this post excerpt says it all: "Just about this time last year I was in Iraq, dodging mortars, RPGs, bullets, IEDs, syphallis-infested prostitutes, and all sorts of shit when I got the news that my undefeated Seattle Seahawks had just blown an enormous lead and let the scumbag St Louis Rams roll them in their own crib. My year, like the Seahawks', was all downhill from there."
1. The 12th Man A good barometer of blogworthiness in Seattle these days comes with the Ken Hamlin incident, and The 12th Man is covering it like no one else. Updated daily, well written and with a sense of passion without going overboard.
