St. Louis's favorite son, Joe Buck, was on hand for Blues-Kings last night and the St. Louis booth of Darren Pang and John Kelly invited Joe inside for some lively banter and a surprise play-by-play turn. Buck admittedly has no idea who any of the Kings are—to be fair to Joe, neither does Los Angeles—and refers to most Kings by uniform number, even on scoring plays. Buck handled the Kings third goal, a power play goal from Davis Drewiske at 6:38. He's...done better.
Yet, he handled it all in stride and it's another example of the continued humanization of Joe Buck. The real star, though, was the Panger giggling like a maniac on cue.
