Blogdom's Best: Los Angeles Clippers

It might not — yet — have the online fanaticism and cachet of baseball, but the NBA and its fans are starting to catch up in the world of team-devoted blogs. To this end, Deadspin salutes these modem-addled souls and proudly presents Blogdom's Best, given to the most outstanding blog for each NBA team. There are fewer than there are for baseball, but they're out there, if you look. If you would like to nominate a blog (yours, even) for selection, just let us know at Today: The Los Angeles Clippers.

Here's how current we've been staying on the Los Angeles Clippers — we didn't know when they had moved to LA from San Diego — or even if that had actually occurred. For all we knew they were still in San Diego, operating under some giant southern California franchise umbrella. Of course, we're dopes. The Clippers moved to LA in 1984. While across town, the Lakers featured Magic Johnson, Kareem and James Worthy, the Clippers were giving their fans a steady diet of Junior Bridgeman and Harvey Catchings. And those powder-blue uniforms. Well, there are no titles of any kind so far. But the Clippers look good this season, in second place in the Pacific Division, only a 1 1/2 games behind the Suns. With this kind of success, maybe their blogs will catch up (the LA Times doesn't even have one).

3. Clippers Top Buzz. More of a news and forum site, with some original writing thrown in.
2. The Clip Show. A great blog, if only they would post more often.
New and Improved Clips. A prolific writer named Laurie who smokes Newports and supports the IRA in their fight for Irish freedom? We think we're in love.
