Every Giancarlo Stanton home run is a gift. This can’t be stressed enough. Jeffrey Loria sucks, but whatever. Let’s be thankful that last September, Mike Fiers didn’t give the Marlins slugger a similar fate as Tony Conigliaro.
Now that we’ve said grace, let’s enjoy his latest offering. Stanton’s fourth homer of the season screamed into left field, bounced off one of the many empty seats at Citizens Bank Park Thursday, and satisfyingly plopped into a man’s hat.
