Dolphins pass rusher Dion Jordan—who in his young career has done a lot more suspension-serving than he has pass-rushing—will miss the entire 2015 season after he failed a drug test.
Jordan didn’t piss hot; he pissed clear. This yearlong suspension stems from a diluted urine sample, meaning Jordan allegedly tried to cover up whatever recreational drug he may have been using.
The Dolphins traded up to get Jordan at No. 3 in 2013, yet he’s only recorded three career NFL sacks. Last season, he served two separate suspensions, six games in total, for violating the league’s policies on performance-enhancing drugs and substances of abuse. (This latest ban falls under the substance-abuse policy, for those of you keeping score at home.)
The suspension is a bummer because Jordan was awesome at Oregon, but also because it crimps the style of wheelin’-dealin’ Chip Kelly:
To be fair, now would be a good time to buy really low on Jordan. Of course, by the time he’s eligible to play again, Chip Kelly will probably have driven the Eagles into the ground and scampered back to college, so.
