Report: Mexican Striker Alan Pulido Escapes From Kidnappers, Shot One Of Them

Alan Pulido escaped from his captors by shooting one of them, reports Proceso, bringing an end to the kidnapping that began when armed men took the Mexican striker from outside a restaurant in his hometown of Ciudad Victoria on Saturday night.

The Olympiakos player told police he punched one of the kidnappers, took his gun, and shot the man before breaking through the “safe house” window and escaping, according to Proceso. Previous media reports had indicated police rescued Pulido.


The former Tigres and Mexican national team player told press he was “fine,” sporting a bandage on his hand—presumably due to either the punch, or the glass-breaking:
