PTBO Canada is collecting readers' photos of their backyard rinks. Some are glorious, and some gloriously amateur; all will make you a little jealous. But the best one features a MacGyvered ice resurfacer.

Real zambonis work by shaving excess snow with a razor-sharp edge, collecting the shavings, and spraying high-pressure water to loosen debris, removing excess water with a squeegee, and laying down hot water to freeze into a new surface. This one doesn't do that. It's a golf cart with plywood dragging a wet towel behind it. Canadian ingenuity, at it again.
