Vince Young Just Can't Pull Himself Together
Remember in the summer of 2009 when VY was all ballsy and told Esquire that he'd be the next " next black quarterback to win a Super Bowl" And "be in the Hall of Fame"? Probably not with the Titans.
So many conflicting stories about whether Vince heaved his shoulder pads into the stands and fled the locker room after his throbbing thumb prevent Jeff Fisher from letting him come back in the game. After that outburst (whatever it was), Fisher stated that Young would no longer be the starting quarterback for his team:
"I am very disappointed. I think his teammates are disappointed,'' Fisher said. "You know, there is going to be frustration in losses, and there are times you have to dig deep and fight and turn to one another. I don't think you run. … There are some things that need to change.''
It's unfortunate to keep circling back to the same criticisms of Vince Young each time he pulls the melodramatic teenage horse shit, but it's becoming more and more clear that Young's emotional maturity is not just a lame insult by Merril Hoge. This guy needs a de-programming immediately and a new team if he's ever going to live up to his own lofty expectations.
For now, he'll have to just resort to fighting that fight on Twitter:
Well that's cleared up.
