A Match Made In ... Well, In Detroit
This image was lost some time after publication. We were marvelling this morning at the potential news: Matt Millen and the Detroit Lions are bringing in former Saints coach Jim Haslett for a job interview. We don't necessarily think that hiring Haslett would bring the Fire Millen crowd much closer to dragging the guy out of his house and having him drawn and quartered that it would if he, say, brought back Marty "We Want The Wind!" Mornhinweg ... but it has to be close, doesn't it?
Millen, by the way, finally talked to reporters, saying that he "understood" the Fire Millen movement "completely," but that he never considered quitting. He even pointed out that watching his team the last year has made his hair turn white. Though he at least he got paid for it.
