Aaron Hernandez Comforted Odin Lloyd's Girlfriend After Shooting

Shaneah Jenkins, girlfriend to Odin Lloyd and sister to Aaron Hernandez's fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins, testified at Hernandez's murder trial yesterday, and she recounted a moment that, should Hernandez eventually be found guilty of murdering Lloyd, is pretty goddamn dark.

Jenkins testified that the morning after Lloyd was shot to death, she drove to Hernandez's home to be comforted by her sister. That's when she says Hernandez himself offered his condolences (from the Boston Globe):

Once she reached the North Attleborough home, Jenkins testified, she hugged her sister and sat on a living room couch for at least an hour until she saw Hernandez in the kitchen, who rubbed her shoulders in what seemed like an attempt to console her.

"He asked me if I was okay," she said. "He told me that he had been through this death thing before and it would get better with time." He later left the house.

I'm not sure where getting a half-hearted shoulder rub and a platitude about death from the man who (allegedly) just killed your boyfriend ranks on the list of worst life experiences ever, but it's gotta be up there.
