What they're saying in Blogopolis after Sunday's AFC championship game (predictably, Stampede Blue has wasted no time going to the Karate Kid photos) ...
• Stampede Blue. Belichick defeated. In his post-game interview, he looked like he was gonna burst out in tears .... he reeeealy didn't wanta be there.
Patriots Fanblog. Dynasty finished. Either way, I hate to be the negative nelly here, but I think this is the last of the "dynasty" years here in New England. It all reminds me so much of the Cowboys in the mid 90's. After that third title, they were close for a few years but couldn't get past the Packers. I feel like the Colts are now the Packers of this era.
Colt Freaks. Give the New England Patriots their due. That was one hell of a game. One in which I admit that I nearly threw the towel in on long before the game was decided. Thank God Tony Dungy and the Indianapolis Colts don't have my fortitude. I was pacing, my son was pacing, hell, even my x-wife called me to ask what was going on.
Pats Blog. How could we allow the biggest comeback in a conference title game ever? That's not what dynasties do, and sadly, this one doesn't seem to have much more time to win another championship. This was our game, our season, and we just didn't get it done. I am disappointed to say the least, and I don't feel like waiting an entire year just to see us make another run at a title. Last year, we were more deserving to lose, and didn't seem too threatening, this year was completely different. The game was ours for the taking. Aloha!
Patriots FanHouse. The more things change, the ... more ... things ... change? Man, I didn't see that coming. And by "that," I mean, "Peyton Manning rebounding from an atrocious first half to play like he does whenever he's not facing the Patriots."
