Alabama WR Quits Team For Roughly Six Hours
Senior wide receiver Kenny Bell announced he'd be leaving the Crimson Tide on Twitter one game into the season, saying he wanted to pay more attention to his children. It turned out to be a short retirement.
Although Bell seemed rather clear in his intention to stop playing football and spend more time with his kids, head coach Nick Saban said that Bell took a "personal day" on Tuesday and would be back with the team on Wednesday. And wouldn't you know it, about six hours later, Bell had seen the light.
From what we know about Saban, he obviously persuaded Bell using his sympathetic side.
