Allen Iverson Arrives In Turkey, Is Immediately Mobbed

Much ink has been spilled about what Allen Iverson's sojourn to the Middle East "means," but if this video is any indication, his experiment is probably going to work. For now.

Iverson arrived at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul today and was met with a huge press contingent, Besiktas (his new team) officials, and a very ruly mob of well-wishers. The singing of the crowd must be very welcome to the ears of the basketball vagabond.

So, as long as Iverson's demeanor is good and he's receptive to the new fans and culture, we won't be seeing any headlines like this.
