Antrel Rolle: Prince Amukamara Is Good Now Because He's Gettin' Laid

Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara was a first-round pick in the 2011 draft, and hasn't exactly lived up to the high expectations that were set for him in the three years since. But so far this season, Amukamara has been playing well—he's got two picks and seven passes defended through the first four games—and teammate Antrel Rolle has a theory as to why. According to Rolle, it's because Amukamara is finally boning.

Amukamara is a devout Christian who has previously said that he was waiting until marriage to lose his virginity. Well, he got married earlier this year, and he's presumably been doing sex with his wife ever since. Rolle thinks this is the key to his success (via NJ.com):

"There are a lot of things different about Prince. For one, he's married, so he's (enjoying some things that he wasn't experiencing before he's married). For a man, that could definitely help him out. For a man ... I'm just being honest ... it's helping him out. He walks around with a little more swagger, which is something that we need, which is something that we love," Rolle said.

"I think it all ties into one another, as far as him getting married, being able to [have sex]," Rolle said. "He's just developing more as a man and accepting challenges and being the dominant player that we need him to be that we know he's capable of."

(We poked around to find out what Rolle actually said that was paraphrased in that first parenthetical. Rolle's exact words were: "he's getting some cutty now.")

This all great news for Amukamara and the Giants, and hopefully his sexual awakening continues to lead to positive results on the field this season. We can't be sure that his breakout will carry over to 2015 and beyond, though. Marriage cutty doesn't stay abundant forever.
