Games Global is expanding into Alberta after receiving approval to supply casino games in the province’s regulated iGaming market. The company recently announced the launch, giving licensed operators access to more slots and live casino games as Alberta’s market continues to grow.
Games Global enters Alberta with an established presence in the Canadian iGaming industry. It’s already active in Ontario and works with a network of more than 50 studio partners, giving operators access to a large library of online casino content.
The Alberta approval also extends beyond traditional slots. Games Global plans to distribute live casino and table games through OnAir Entertainment, its exclusive live casino partner in Canada.
The company has also been expanding its relationships with major North American operators. For example, in August, Games Global expanded its partnership with DraftKings to include content from its CASHINGO franchise. Its entry into Alberta gives the supplier another regulated market where it can build on those operator relationships.
Games Global Chief Commercial Officer Mark MacCombie described North America as a key focus for the company, pointing to its existing business in Ontario and regulated U.S. states as a foundation for continued growth.
Alberta is a competitive market that has a lot of potential, making it a desirable entry for Games Global.
Games Global is entering Alberta at a time when the province is quickly becoming one of North America’s most competitive iGaming markets. Alberta opened its regulated iGaming market in July 2026, creating a new opportunity for operators and suppliers that had previously focused their Canadian expansion on Ontario.
Interest has continued to build since launch. For example, Fanatics is targeting a potential Alberta launch in 2027 after recently entering Ontario.
For Games Global, the timing gives it a chance to build relationships with operators while Alberta’s market is still developing. As more brands enter, suppliers with large game portfolios could become even more important to operators looking to differentiate their casino offerings.
Games Global joins a growing group of established casino suppliers in Alberta’s regulated iGaming market. The AGLC gaming registrant database has several major providers registered to supply iGaming content within the province, including these three industry leaders:
Other providers include Pragmatic Play, which entered Alberta at launch in July, bringing its slots and live casino portfolio. Play’n GO also launched in Alberta during opening week, with its games available through more than 10 licensed operators.
The addition of Games Global gives Alberta operators another major content supplier to work with as they continue expanding their casino libraries.
For Alberta players, the increasingly competitive market will mean a robust selection of games to choose from.
