As a baseball fan I always look for ways to boost my enjoyment and fun when watching MLB games and one way I’ve done this is by using baseball betting sites to make some fun real money wagers.
These are essentially sportsbooks that have a dedicated section for baseball and they will usually cover the MLB, MLB Spring Training, playoffs, and perhaps other leagues like the Nippon Professional Baseball League. If this is something you’re interested in, I’ve compiled an introductory guide below that is packed with tips and info!
I want you to be able to enjoy baseball bets in Ontario, and to give you a jump start, I’ve created mini reviews for five of my favorite online baseball betting sites below. These are bet365, Betano, BetMGM, LeoVegas, and Bwin – you can see the baseball markets they support in the table below, and then I give a brief intro to each brand after that.
| Baseball Betting Site | Baseball Markets Covered |
|---|---|
| bet365 | MLB, NPB (Japan), KBO (Korea) |
| Betano | MLB, NPB (Japan), KBO (Korea) |
| BetMGM | MLB, NPB (Japan), KBO (Korea) |
| LeoVegas | MLB, NPB (Japan), KBO (Korea) |
| Bwin | MLB, NPB (Japan), KBO (Korea) |
As far as baseball betting websites go, bet365 is a solid pick, especially for mobile betting. I have the bet365 app on my Samsung Galaxy and it works like a dream. It’s so easy to manage your bet slip and make parlays for MLB games. It’s available for both Android and iOS devices and it has some of the best app reviews I’ve seen from both of the respective stores.
For baseball betting, this site has coverage for the MLB and MLB Spring Training, plus virtual baseball. However, one minor drawback was that I’ve never seen any college baseball coverage, which Ontario’s best NFL betting sites and baseball sites will usually offer. Still, the MLB markets are excellent and you’ve got all the games covered. I love the same game parlay feature for the games – you can get really detailed with your picks and add as many selections as you want to each SGP.
You can’t do much better among top baseball sportsbooks in Ontario than Betano. The MLB is the main attraction here, but you’ll also find extensive betting markets for Japan’s NPB and South Korea’s KBO. One of my favorite parts of using Betano was “Prime Picks,” which highlights boosted odds for single and parlay bets for each baseball game. You can find them within each game page or a dedicated section that lists every boosted bet, with boosts ranging from 9% up to 20%.
Betano also helps newcomers by providing in-depth information and stats on upcoming games. Baseball is a game of statistics, so having them all at your fingertips makes choosing your bets a much more seamless experience. You’ll need the help, as Betano has some of the most complete array of betting markets we’ve seen. For an MLB game, for example, your choices will reach triple digits. And that’s not even counting the strong set of baseball futures on offer too.
When it comes to top baseball betting sites, BetMGM excels at coverage for the MLB and college baseball. I like that you can make bets on the regular season, but also the pre-season Spring Training games, plus the global events like the MLB Tokyo Series 2025. For most of the games you’ve got simple moneyline and spread bets, but tons of prop bets on pitchers and batters, including hits, earned runs, strikeouts, and total bases. The variety is fantastic, the odds are competitive and you can of course make in-play picks too.
Baseball is just one aspect of BetMGM though and it has one of the most extensive coverages for North American sports in general that I’ve found. The NHL and NBA markets are superb and the NFL is also widely covered. Alternatively, you’ve got heaps of options for European soccer, tennis, golf, MMA, motorsport, and other popular global sports.
LeoVegas is one of my favorite baseball sportsbooks, especially on the go, as it’s among the best Ontario betting apps, winning awards for its mobile platform. It’s so well designed and intuitive to use, with fast loading times. You can easily find all the basketball markets you’re looking for, and the speed is ideal for in-play baseball betting.
At LeoVegas, you’ll find extensive MLB coverage throughout the season. Each game boasts around 50+ markets, which isn’t the most we’ve found, but it’s competitive. LeoVegas also covers other top international leagues, such as Japan’s NPB and South Korea’s KBO League. I also found the platform to be particularly strong for futures, especially the MLB.
Bwin is my final pick for the top baseball sportsbooks in Ontario, but it’s still a worthwhile option for the sport’s many fans in the province. Bwin prioritizes the MLB, so if you’re a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, you’ll always find competitive odds on all the team’s upcoming games. All of Betano’s MLB game coverage is impressive, with the available markets ranging from 50 at the low end to over 120 for the matchups between the top teams.
But it’s Betano’s futures betting that stands out to us. If any sport is all about the long game, it’s baseball. Fans of the sport have to be patient, and so it makes sense to give as many futures options as possible. Betano understands this, giving nearly 40 different MLB futures options. These include betting on the home run leader, the state of the World Series winner, or the No. 1 seed in the National League.
The best online baseball betting sites from my experience have a set of core features that make them ideal for MLB betting. This includes licensing, support, baseball coverage, and the range of bets you can make.
Ontario bettors should only ever use baseball betting sites that have a license issued by The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). You can find licensing information either in the brands ‘About’ page, or in the website footer. You should be able to see the AGCO motif, plus the license number, and ideally a link to the AGCO site.
Unlicensed betting sites do not have to comply with regulations or standards and there’s nothing really stopping them from ripping you off or doing something unscrupulous like withholding your winnings or giving poor odds on baseball games. So if you come across a sportsbook without proper licensing, I suggest you steer clear.
The best online baseball betting sites have responsive customer support that you can get in touch with any time of the day. Ideally this should be via a live chat messaging system but I also don’t mind telephone support or external channels like Discord provided responses are fast, and available 24/7. Knowing that support is available gives you a safeguard if you encounter any issues with your baseball bets or things like deposits and withdrawals.
Obviously the operator has to support baseball! Most sites have a dedicated baseball section, which will cover the major competitions including the MLB, MLB Spring Training, playoffs, and the Nippon Professional League in Japan. Only the best baseball betting sites will cover international events too like the MLB Tokyo Series and the World Baseball Classic. I don’t just look at the categories though – I go deeper and make sure that all the matches for these different events are covered.
I mainly like to use moneyline bets and I expect baseball betting sites to have these, plus the other main betting categories like point spreads and line bets. Parlays should be available too where you can add multiple match selections to your bet slip for potentially bigger payouts. It’s worth looking at the props bets for teams and players too and I typically look for options like batter home runs, pitcher strikeouts, and bases gained. Same Game Parlays are also important for me as I like making these detailed bets from the statistical analysis I do.
Lastly, so that I can enjoy a more immersive experience and have a little more fun while I’m watching the MLB, I look at the in-play betting features. I want in-play betting options for all the matches I cover so I check the overall live betting section of the site to see how it works and if I like the layout of it. I’ll then delve into the individual live game coverages to see what stats are available and if the site supports any live streaming of the games – this is rarer for MLB baseball but I have watched some games in-app before.
Baseball betting websites have their ups and downs, and it’s important as a potential sports bettor to know their limits. I’ve summed up the highlights of these sites below:
I want you to have a fun experience at these baseball betting sites, so I’m passing on my knowledge in the form of some expert tips below:
I’m a stats nerd for all sports that I follow and I’ve found that this helps me make more informed bets. It doesn’t guarantee a win – nothing can, but it at least allows you to make the best logical decisions.
For baseball wagers, I look at the current team form, home/away advantage, their game schedule, player injuries, and current player form. Looking at things like these can often turn what looks like a sure-thing bet into a more risky pick and thus help you avoid disaster, or see added value from certain MLB odds.
The 80/20 approach is where 80% of your bets have low odds and a higher probability of winning. Yes, the odds will be lower and you’re often betting on the favorites like the Dodgers, but this is how you maintain your bankroll. The remaining 20% is then used for higher-risk bets.
For example, I might make four moneyline selections on favored MLB teams, and then make one parlay bet that covers them all. The higher-risk bet will have much greater odds, but a low winning probability. Using a balanced approach like this has always worked out well for me in terms of keeping my bankroll intact.
Whenever I register with a new sportsbook, the first thing I do is set a weekly deposit limit. I think this is the single-most important thing you can do to control your spending and make sure you prioritize fun. I know that once that weekly deposit amount is gone, I can’t do anything else, which I find also makes me think about my baseball bets more carefully and be more selective.
I regularly make outright/futures bets on MLB games, but I think the real potential value can come from live betting. These are bets you place as the action is unfolding and the odds will fluctuate depending on how each team is performing. If you’re watching the baseball game live, you can get a feel for how things are progressing and which team has the upper hand. You can then use this feeling and live knowledge to make more accurate in-play bets.
At the time of writing this, the MLB 2026 Spring Training is in full swing so what better time to check out the best baseball betting sites? Like NBA betting sites in Ontario, always make sure that before you sign up, that you check for basic features like a gambling license, usability, mobile accessibility, and the quality of the baseball coverage. You can also go with one of my five recommended picks as bet365, Betano BetMGM, LeoVegas, and Bwin all have superior MLB coverage and some fun props markets.
Most baseball sportsbooks are perfect for MLB betting in Ontario, including Spring Training games. However, some sites like Betano also cover top international leagues, like the NPB in Japan or the KBO League in South Korea.
You deposit your CAD at these sites and then make real money bets on different baseball games or individual props markets. If your bet wins, you get a real money payout – easy!
The number one piece of advice I can give is to do your research and don’t blindly rely on the sportsbook odds. Look for things like injuries, player hot streaks, and rivalries that could impact the outcome of the baseball games.
You have to place real money bets on baseball games. For example, if you placed a real money bet on the Dodgers to beat the Cubs, and the Dodgers won, you’d get a payout based on your bet value, and the odds of the moneyline selection.
