Dan Snyder Subpoenas Washington Post Blogger For Linking To Washington City Paper Story
Oops, we almost forgot to post our daily link to Dave McKenna's brilliant "Cranky Redskins Fan's Guide to Dan Snyder," which we'll be linking to until Dan Snyder's dumbass libel suit takes a Ceti Eel in the ear.
Please recall that we've moved our daily link to McKenna's story to our morning news post. Alas, we neglected to put the daily link in there this morning. Which is amusing, considering that today we learned that Dan Snyder subpoenaed Dan Steinberg of The Washington Post last week for information about why Steinberg linked to McKenna's story. As if there were something wrong with what Steinberg did. (For those of you counting, this is "We Are All Dave McKenna CXVI," our daily link to McKenna's story.)
The City Paper has posted a copy of Snyder's overly broad subpoena, if you care to read it. Among other items, Snyder wants to get his hands on diaries, telegrams, routing slips and desk calendars that could have information about communications between Steinberg and McKenna. What Snyder doesn't know is that Steinberg and McKenna have been communicating by carrier pigeon for years.
