Andrew Luck, Who Was Briefly Throwing, Is No Longer Throwing
Photo credit: Darron Cummings/ [object Object] Perhaps you spend all day on Twitter or are a close follower of Indianapolis Colts beat writers. If that is the case, you may have recently seen some footage of injured star quarterback Andrew Luck actually throwing a football. The footage was not exactly inspiring, but it was at least evidence that Luck’s surgically repaired right shoulder was healing.
Well, that’s all the action you’re going to see from Luck for at least a little while longer. According to Colts GM Chris Ballard, Luck has been shut down. From ESPN:
“The doctors and the trainers have decided to give him a cortisone shot to kind of take away some of that inflammation that’s been happening,” Ballard said.
“He’ll continue to rehab. We’re just going to shut down the throwing right now to get this thing calmed back down.”
Luck got in four days of practice before the shutdown, and Ballard did not give a timetable for when Luck might start throwing again. In the meantime, the Colts will continue to suck.
