Today in MLB Blogs
Where We Look At MLB's Charming Attempts To Revolutionize The Interweb ... First they went on strike, and you welcomed them back. Then they admitted to taking performance-enhancing drugs, and you shrugged as you renewed your season tickets. Then they invaded Iraq on false intelligence claims, and ... oh, sorry. Forget that last one. Major League Baseball — you gotta love it. No, we mean you have to love it. Because you are a needy, pathetic loser. If you need further proof, we remind you: MLB.com is charging you to put up a weblog on their site. That's right — you are promoting their product, and you're paying them. Anyone see the irony here? Anyone? Before we pay $4.95 a month to write for Bud Selig for free, we'd run through Compton dressed as Jar Jar Binks. "But how can I resist?" you ask. "I'd be rubbing shoulders with official MLB.com bloggers such as Milwaukee Brewers broadcaster Darron Sutton and Major League groundskeeping guru Murray Cook!" We might be uncomfortable sitting close to those guys on the bus, but to each his own. Then there's this late MLB addition: The Deep Fried Fish Blog with Bob Yacuzzo. He's a chef, and he likes the Florida Marlins. Get it? Follow Bob's adventures as he: tells us he has three kids. And writes about, uh, baseball games he's seen on TV. Jesus, give us something we can use, Bob. A recipe would be nice.
