Floyd Mayweather On Fighting Manny Pacquiao: "He Blew It"
Floyd Mayweather is winding down his fighting career, and according to him, any hypothetical bout between him and Manny Pacquiao will never happen.
In an interview with MLive, Mayweather fully rejected the idea of a planned fight against Pacquiao in the future, putting the blame solely on Pacquiao.
How are things today? He's not going to get a chance to fight me. I was feeling that way weeks ago. Now, I'm feeling like I wouldn't even give him a chance. He had a chance, he blew it, so that's what it is.
A Mayweather-Pacquiao fight would have been a ratings boon a few years ago, and it would still attract attention—although not as much—if it happened today, but for now, we'll just have to settle for Mayweather fighting Canelo Alvarez on Sept. 14. What-if scenarios suck even more when there are available resources to make it happen.
