Four teams tied for first at DL Stage 1 Major qualifying

FaZe Vegas, Paris Gentle Mates and Carolina Royal Ravens all earned victories on Sunday in qualifying to forge a virtual four-way tie for first place at the Call of Duty League Stage 1 Major.

FaZe Vegas swept Vancouver Surge 3-0, Paris Gentle Mates took down Miami Heretics 3-1 and Carolina Royal Ravens edged Los Angeles Thieves 3-2 to join Riyadh Falcons at 5-2 and close the last week of qualifying.

All 12 teams qualified for Major 1, which runs Thursday through Feb. 1 in Dallas, though the results will determine whether teams begin the major in the upper or lower bracket.

FaZe Vegas made quick work of Vancouver (1-6), posting wins on Exposure Hardpoint (250-151), Colossus Search & Destroy (6-3) and Den Overload (6-2).

Paris opened with a 250-240 victory on Den Hardpoint before Miami (3-4) pulled even with a 6-4 win on Exposure Search & Destroy. Paris regained the lead with a 3-1 triumph on Exposure Overload, then closed out the match with a 250-166 victory on Scar Hardpoint.

Carolina jumped out to a commanding 2-0 lead with victories on Blackheart Hardpoint (250-163) and Raid Search & Destroy (6-3), but Los Angeles rallied with wins on Scar Overload (7-0) and Den Hardpoint (250-116). In the decisive fifth game, Carolina narrowly pulled off a 6-5 win on Colossus Search & Destroy.
