Like everyone, we love a good Joe Biden gaffe—especially when it's about sports.

The vice president was at a private fundraiser in San Francisco yesterday, and he took the opportunity to bond with local supporters over the fact that "the Giants are on their way to the Super Bowl":

When the comment drew boos from the crowd, Biden quickly apologized, saying he was used to talking about the San Francisco Giants' baseball victories.

After the apology from Biden during the Wednesday campaign stop, the vice president clarified that he meant to say "49ers" when referring to the team that would go all the way.

Sure, sure. That's perfectly "believable."
