Josh Donaldson Turns Bad Play Into Cool-As-Hell Play
Oakland A's third baseman Josh Donaldson, who is great, has been doing some real dope shit lately. On Sunday night, he hit a walk-off homer in the tenth inning, and last night he turned in one of the best defensive plays we've seen all year.
After getting eaten up by a bad bounce, Donaldson swivels his head over his shoulder, finds the ball spinning in the air behind him, stops his momentum, sticks his bare hand out to grab the sucker as it comes falling back down to earth, and unloads a perfect throw to first for the out.
If you're looking for a good reason to root for Oakland to hang onto one of those Wild Card spots, the chance to see Donaldson do stuff like this in the playoffs is it.
