Minnesota Steakhouse Pranks Umpire Joe West With Braille Menu

Joe West has been an umpire for 42 years, long enough to have seen pretty much damn near everything there is to see in the sport. Six World Series, nine League Championship Series, eight League Division Series, and three All-Star Games will do that to you. Bet he’s never been owned by a restaurant, though.

In honor of his 5,164th game on Wednesday night, the second most in MLB history, West went out to dinner with two Minnesota Vikings legends at a local Minneapolis steakhouse. There, waiting for him, was a menu in braille.

West definitely has the sense of sight, but don’t ask him about his two cents regarding Russia and WikiLeaks. Seriously, please. Don’t.
