Morning Wake-up Call
Good morning folks and welcome to the show. It's been a while since you and I have hung out, but we have lots to share together in the next two days. And most importantly, FOOTBALL IS HERE!!!! My DirecTV dish is already being a bitch in the rain, so we'll see how much of it I'll actually be able to watch. Stupid tropical storm. If mother nature will cooperate, the US Open continues today with the men's semi-finals and the women's final. If you need to catch up, check out yesterday's round-up for all you need to know. Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer face off first, followed by Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray. Serena Williams and Jelena Jankovic will close things out in the evening. There are a number of "if/then" scenarios for the weather situation, but the US Open website has laid it all out for you in a handy dandy chart. The day is packed full of college football with not a single game between ranked teams. But not to worry...tonight's Florida/Miami matchup is bound to be a barn burner tolerable. I'll have a college day preview a little later, but feel free to tune into GameDay in the meantime. Watching Lee Corso scream at you for a few hours is good for the soul. We've got some other goodies for you, including The Hugh Johnson Project. Don't forget to IM your game day comments to "The Hugh Johnson" on AIM. Don't confuse that with The Huge Johnson. Your comments will go a completely different sort of site. Good luck explaining that Google search result to your mom.
