Nutty Protesters Going After Hockey Now, Apparently

Westboro Baptist Church, best known for disrupting soldiers' funerals and being generally batshit insane, are currently — at this very moment! — picketing outside the Stars/Coyotes game in Dallas. Because nothing saith "abomination unto the Lord" like Marty Turco's goaltending.

You know the folks at WBC. They're the ones with the signs that say "God Hates Fags." (In fact, that's their website's URL. But goes God hate Sun Belt hockey? (He should.) They're protesting outside the American Airlines Center before tonight's game against Phoenix.

From their packed protest schedule:

God H8s Ur hockey! Valor Pl. & Olive St. WBC will picket your stupid, cold (you will truly pray for these days of being in the cold hockey games when you burn in hell for eternity) violent, time-wasting hockey game - your SPORT. You know there will be only a few more of these entertainment events before God lets Obama simply destroy this nation. God does not have anything good to say about your sport(s).

Well, Westboro, what does the Bible have to say about sports?

God Hates DOOMED america, God Hates Arizona, God Hates Florida. You are all going to hell, and there is nothing to do but hear the words, hate the words, get mad at the words - - then get more words.

We're all in agreement that God hates Florida, but what does that have to do with this game? Last I checked, neither participant in a Dallas/Phoenix game is from Florida. Maybe they're expecting divine retribution for the Lightning's Stanley Cup bringing on the lockout.
