Rugby Star’s Surgery After Televised Broken Arm: VERY GROSS

The other day we brought you the above video of Australian former National Rugby League star Ben Ross getting his goddamn arm snapped in half during a televised charity arm wrestling match. When a big and strong man who made his living dominating other big and strong men let’s out a bone-chilling scream, you know something has gone very, very wrong.

Ross underwent surgery to repair the arm, and wrote on Instagram about seeing the “plates, screws and scar that will be with me for life.” And for those of us interested in seeing the during and after of an intense surgery, Ross included some pictures. Be warned: the second photo shows a man’s arm opened to the bone in the middle of surgery.
