SNL Lampoons Donald Sterling Scandal In Cold Open
Adam Silver, Donald Sterling, Dennis Rodman, and others made appearances in tonight's Saturday Night Live cold open, which didn't skewer the scandal involving the L.A. Clippers owner as much as it did make mildly amusing references to it.
We're not going to pretend this is uproariously hilarious, and maybe that's a point in itself: that Donald Sterling is so loathsome that he can't be made funny. The audience certainly seemed uncertain of themselves, or maybe they aren't drunk enough tonight. (The best parts of the sketch come at the beginning, before Bobby Moynihan arrives on set in the character.)
