The most effective fake is the one when everyone's expecting you to shoot. Considering Tony Parker was at the foul line, this was probably the single most effective shot fake ever pulled off.

Presumably Parker didn't like his grip. But as TBJ points out, the ref under the basket was none other than Courtney Kirkland, who last week blocked Kris Humphries's free throw attempt. Parker's a student of the game; he knows Kirkland bites on the first move. Well played.
