Tony Parker Is A Pretty Good Coach, Too
Tony Parker did more than sink the most important shot of Game 1 last night, he also showed off his coaching chops.
After completing his stumble-fall-down-stumble-shoot routine, Parker got some brief instruction from Gregg Popovich before heading into the huddle to prepare his team for the final possession. Luckily, cameras were present to capture the moment.
This is a genuinely cool peek into what goes on in an NBA huddle, and it's neat that Pop trusts his players to prepare for such an important possession on their own. I especially like how vehement Parker is about not biting on a Dwyane Wade pump fake. Wade does that shit all the time, and I don't know why so many people still fall for it.
