Tuffy Rhodes Catches Olajuwon-Signed Ball, Gives It To Little Kid
Remember Tuffy Rhodes? You probably don't remember Tuffy Rhodes. He's the former Cubs center fielder who hit three home runs off Doc Gooden on Opening Day in 1994 before flaming out and heading off to play baseball in Japan, where he became one of the best power hitters in the league and tied Sadaharu Oh's single-season home run record. It appears that Rhodes is also a Houston Rockets fan who is kind to children.
During last night's game against the 76ers, Hakeem Olajuwon signed a ball that was then tossed into the crowd by the Rockets' mascot. Tuffy went up strong to pull down the souvenir before immediately handing the ball over to the small child a few seats over from him. See, this is how adults are supposed to handle receiving souvenirs.
