Vince Young Wishes He Had Returned To Texas For His Senior Year
Appearing on The Lowdown with Alex Loeb on 104.9 FM in Austin earlier today, former NFL QB Vince Young said that he would have returned to UT if he had known the Houston Texans, which took Mario Williams first overall in 2006, weren't going to select him:
"It was very close. The Texans had the No. 1 pick, that was the place I wanted to play at. I wish they would've told me that they weren't picking me because I would've stayed for my senior year. But it didn't happen like that."
Not that going to the Titans was so bad, Young said, since they were the same franchise he had grown up watching.
"Being a kid watching the Oilers all my life, I had the opportunity to play for them, it was a dream come true as well."
