Watch As A Rockies Coach Gets Drilled In The Face While Bobby Valentine Talks
Just your typical pre-game rundown last night on Sunday Night Baseball. Except that, as Bobby Valentine was giving his portion of the preview of Rockies-Cardinals, someone on the field near first base can be seen getting KO'd by a baseball.
The Denver Post says Rockies third base coach Rich Dauer and infielder Chris Nelson had a miscommunication during a double-play drill, and that Dauer was hit with an errant throw. Dauer suffered a broken nose and was taken to a local emergency room for tests. He was cleared to travel home with the rest of the team, all of which is good news.
And now he can relive the head-exploding pain as often as he likes.
