Watch This West Indies Cricketer's Bonkers Catch
Wikipedia tells me that six-foot-five Trinidadian Kieron Pollard is "an aggressive all-rounder." I'll say. The above video comes from Wednesday's third game in a best-of-five between Australia and the West Indies.
Here Glenn Maxwell, the Aussie batsman, thumps one off Sunil Narine. The ball looks like it's headed over the boundary to concuss a helpless spectator. But then Pollard leaps, and—ye gods—that ball is somehow in his hand. That must have hurt. (Think of his poor metacarpals!) Not as much as the outcome of the game, though: Australia won by 39 runs to clinch the series in its third match.
