Which Athlete Is Your State Most Obsessed With?

Over on the BestTicket blog, Andrew Powell-Morse has taken a look at the "most popular athlete" in each state, based on monthly Google queries over the last year.

It's a pretty simple analysis—Google searches aren't a perfect indicator of what people are interested in—but it passes the smell test, with LeBron James as the most popular search overall and the default No. 1 for many states. Peyton Manning still holds the top spots in Indiana and Tennessee; Andrew Wiggins managed to take both Kentucky and Kansas; and Vermont goes with Tiger Woods. No baseball players made the map.
