It's So Cold In The D
Someone asked me recently what it's called when a team goes an entire season without winning a game. I liked her suggestion for the opposite of undefeated, which is simply ... defeated.
It's looks like the Detroit Lions' best chance to claim a single victory this season will be at home against the Saints this weekend, but if Drew Brees can't pass for 400 yards against that defense, then he should turn in his Pro Bowl card. And honestly ... I can't be the only Lions fans who wants to see that happen. If you're going to turn in a pathetically awful season, should you turn in the most pathetically awful season possible? What's wrong with being infamous? No one remembers the 1-15 and 2-14 teams, but no one will ever forget the 0-16 2008 Detroit Lions, the Worst Team In NFL History. This should be Matt Millen's legacy.
Of course, like a true Lions fan, I'm operating under the assumption that they will win both games and somehow screw themselves out of the number one draft pick. That seems more proper.
