Oh Wait, Maybe This Is Why England Didn't Get The World Cup
Birmingham City and Aston Villa fans put on an old-fashioned pitch invasion after last night's Carling Cup match, complete with flares and fighting.
The Second City Derby is a big deal, even resulting in a 2008 murder after a match. But things have been relatively quiet since 2003, when the two were banned from playing night games. Because, you know, the alcohol.
But that was waived because the two were paired off in a Carling Cup match. Plus, they might have thought with the World Cup voting taking place the next day, everyone might have chilled out a bit. Obviously not. A late winner by Brum and it was on.
But don't worry, the FA will take this one seriously. A whole seven people were arrested.
