You, Dim PR Person, Are Dumb And Should Be Fired, Part 6: Near-Tragedy Edition
PR people are dumb. Not all of them, just some of them. Like this thoughtful individual repping the 127 Hours DVD, who emailed Nick Denton with an idea for a tie-in that just screams Deadspin. Because they are dumb.

Hey Nick! Hope you had a nice long weekend.
I wanted to get in touch with you to see if you guys might be interested in doing a small feature for us to coincide with the release of 127 Hours, which is coming out on Blu-ray and DVD on March 1st.
The film's main (and really only!) character, Aron Ralston, clearly had a taste for adventure and adrenaline, and with his prolific story, we think he undoubtedly joins the ranks of dozens of other explorers who braved the unknown. That being said, we thought it would be interesting to create a list that examines others who had a taste for the unfamiliar on land, in the sea, and in space, and will include such names as Lewis & Clark, Neil Armstrong and Amelia Earhart.
If this is something you guys would be into posting (we thought it might be a good fit for Deadspin's readers) just let me know and I'll help to get this all set up. We can assist in giving you bullet points for the feature as well if necessary. J
Thanks! Emily
No Emily, thank you for possibly leaving the yard.
