Tebow's Number One: Your NFL Late Games Open Thread
We power on through the late games. Here is your open thread, discuss.
Chicago at Denver (FOX): It's not often that Charles Barkley is the voice of reason, but he's got this one pretty well sussed out. "'I want to make a personal plea to Lance Briggs, Brian Urlacher, Mr. [Julius] Peppers, please stop the madness,' Barkley said Friday on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. 'I'm just so tired ... I like Tim Tebow. He seems like a good kid, and I wish him success, but I am Tebowed out. So this is my personal plea for you three guys, please stop this madness.'" [ ESPN]
San Francisco at Arizona (FOX): John Skelton laughs at Jim Trotter's quarterback rankings. Alex Smith isn't fit to carry John Skelton's jesuit jock strap. Arizona continues to tilt at windmills with this whole "Kevin Kolb Experiment" while a perfectly heroic man stands by, waiting for a second chance to show the Cardinals what everyone else already knows: As John Skelton goes, so goes the world.
Buffalo at San Diego (CBS): I would like to be a fly on the wall of Berman's brain for this one. He's got such a hard on for the circling wagons and powder blue loveable losers that you could probably see the exact moment his brain fries. And you'd be the only one in the world who knew, because this is Chris Berman we're talking about.
Oakland at Green Bay (CBS): A little PHILosophy: "'I haven't seen a real Raiders football team in so long,' Simms said. 'The team I saw in week two, with Darren McFadden at running back, was a dangerous team. They were a team that caught my attention. Not having him affects everybody. It affects the offensive line, the quarterback, but it also affects the Raiders' defense as much as anything. He helps your offense, but it probably shortens the game by two possessions for the opponent. What defense wouldn't want that?'" I don't know, either. [ JSOnline]
