Charlotte Bobcats Commit A Chris Webber, Escape Minnesota With A Win Anyway
The hapless Charlotte Bobcats won in spite of themselves tonight against the Timberwolves 89-87, needing a Kemba Walker score in the final seconds to seize a lead partially frittered away when Reggie Williams called a time out the Bobcats didn't have and incurred a technical foul.
The Chris Webber happened as Williams tried to inbound the ball while the Bobcats held a two-point lead with 38 seconds left; while Luke Ridnour made the technical free throw, Minnesota squandered the next possession, only to see the Bobcats (of course) miss their following free throws. Seriously, Walker's game-winner is the only thing that kept the last 40 seconds of the bout from being a total clusterfuck, though we're highlighting the excess timeout because, hey, Chris Webber.
