Jamoke Running For Mayor Of Omaha: Let's Build An NFL Stadium

Taylor Royal, a 26-year-old accountant who is running as a Republican in Omaha, Nebraska’s mayoral election, has a really stupid idea:

Omaha, Nebraska is ready to host an NFL team in an NFL stadium. Enough talk about whether we want a casino on our side of the river, we want an NFL team here. Imagine cheering on our former Cornhuskers or seeing Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, and Russell Wilson throw the football on a Sunday in our backyard.

The stadium should crown our riverfront and anchor our downtown. The stadium will support and stimulate the airport, shops, restaurants, and hotels that have already invested in the downtown.

How? The NFL is looking at several expansion cities over the coming years and Omaha needs to be one of those cities selected. My administration will put together a proposal that highlights our incredible football heritage and Omaha’s readiness to host an NFL team. Our city and state have already demonstrated a committed love for the game where every Saturday in fall over 100K people flock to Lincoln to continue our sold out record and spend their dollars.
 Omaha can attract more people than that here on Sundays. We are uniquely qualified to house a professional sports team that brings in fans from all over Nebraska – and fans from Council Bluffs, Des Moines, Sioux City, Mason City, Cedar Rapids, and Sioux Falls. All of those people, from all of those places, every home game…Imagine the economic impact for our city!

Citizens of Omaha, please do not elect this dim child as your next mayor.
