Jason Whitlock Returning To ESPN [UPDATE]

Whoa. The Big Lead reports that Jason Whitlock is leaving Fox Sports and heading back to ESPN. As recently as a few weeks ago, Whitlock was working on test segments for a show on Fox Sports 1—called Red, White and Truth—that hadn't appeared on any lineup for the the network. In the last month, ESPN has hired Keith Olbermann and Nate Silver. Fox Sports 1 launches on Saturday. We've got an email out to Whitlock.

UPDATE, 2:14 p.m.: Whitlock confirms the news. He emails, "yes. i'm headed back. i'll be working on all platforms."
