Sportsnet's Hockey Twitter Account Has Been Hacked For Five Days
Dear Sportsnet: You are a popular and respected Canadian sports network. It is the NHL playoffs. Your has been hacked and tweeting out obscene links to porn spam since Saturday. Fix yo shit.
Everything was fine through Friday afternoon, with @SNHockeyCentral sending out the usual mix of news, links to Sportsnet columns, and retweets of players. Then, no posts for almost 24 hours, and when it returned, it was...different.
Below is a screenshot of the entire five days of spam tweets, or click here for the full-sized image. How long is five days? The last time it was normal, the Senators were still alive. (Also, no one tell Sportsnet about this. We want to see how long this can go.)
