The Arkansas Bench Threw A Shoe Onto The Court In The Middle Of Play
This might be the most bizarre sequence of events you'll see this NCAA tournament. First, for some unknown reason, Arkansas's Rashad Madden kicked his shoe off and into the crowd. I suppose it was loose and he felt he was better off without one?
Anyway, Madden proceeded to play defense for a possession sans shoe. Wofford missed a shot, and as Madden went running up the court in his sock, somebody from the Arkansas bench threw a shoe to him. The referees, obviously, stopped play immediately.
Much to the consternation of the announcing crew, Arkansas wasn't assessed a technical for their hi-jinks, just a delay of game warning.
